Wax Wings - Periphery 和訳してみた。
Peripheryっていうバンドはご存知？
ボーカル1人、ドラム1人にギター3人という癖構成。ボーカルのハイトーンと複雑なシャウト、多重に美しく重なるギターのメロディ、ドラムの変則的なシンコペーション、荘厳な雰囲気のオーケストラ。。。。どこを切り抜いても驚きに詰まったこのバンドが本当に大好きなんですよね。歌詞の現代への風刺と、背中を押してくれる感じもいい。改めてPeripheryが歌う歌詞を自分なりに和訳(所々意訳して自分の解釈ものせてできるだけ自然な文章にしたいです)してみます。

Peripheryは "Wax Wings"
2023年10月現在の最新アルバムに収録されているWax Wingsですが、
どこか懐かしい感覚を思い起こすようなエフェクトのギターソロから始まり、特にボーカルのSpencer氏の高音が映える曲です。クリーンな高音を歌えば天使、血みどろな低音シャウトはさながら悪魔、いい声なんです。
